Flaunt Your Flowers Friday! July 18/14

Copy_of_001

WELCOME!
I am so glad you stopped by today.   I love Friday’s…it is the start of the weekend…and…Friday is a BIG day for us here at Tootsie Time…(ok, just me really…there is no one else here…lol) It’s a big deal because it means it’s PARTY TIME!!!!

Fertilizer Friday is the day of the week than an ELITE group of gardeners from all around the world get together, snap photos, link up and Flaunt Their Flowers!!!

If you are new to Tootsie Time and Fertilizer Friday, I just know you are asking yourself…”How do I join?”

Well…it’s easy really. Here’s all you need to know to become a part of this great group of gardeners, bloggers and friends:

If it is spring or summer where you live, you need to snap a few photos of what you have growing, blooming or just love to look at that is of the plant variety…if it is winter where you live, you may post past favorite photos…or indoor plants…whatever you like.

The only criteria is that it is a plant or something growing!

You do not need to use fertilizer to participate in this party, but if you do, this is the reminder to fertilize weekly!

All I ask is that: Your post must include the logo above and/or a link to Tootsie Time, or the linky will be deleted

I would like to invite each and every one of you to join in and share your photos...

Another crazy BUSY week has come and gone and here we are again gathering to strut our stuff!

Unfortunately I have not had time to come visit you all much yet....and I apologize for that.

I am going to be away much of the next two weeks, so may not have much to flaunt, but I will have the party ready to go for you all to flaunt.

I am sharing my greenhouse today!   I haven’t shown the inside of her for a while and decided that it is about time the jungle got a show!

I needed to make shade again this year for the summer months in the greenhouse.   I usually use a cheap bed sheet, but decided that if I could figure out something that I could take down and re-use, I would be much happier.   Bed sheets rot in the sun…and ended up in the trash every fall…so…I came up with a different idea.

I am so pleased with the way this turned out…it gives just enough protection from the hot sun that the plants are happy to just grow and grow all over in the greenhouse now.

What did I use???
BeFunky_088.jpg
I used plain old black window screen!

Yep…I had a bunch of it sitting in storage, and no use for it…so I took that huge roll…and just pinned it up in rows across the beams of the ceiling!

It works like a charm!

Everything is growing like crazy in here this year…this is my Jade…she just got another new pot…it comes clear up to my hip now!   I am so happy with how big it is!

This is the rest of the jungle of plants I have in the greenhouse…I adore each and every one of them!

These are babies that are almost ready to go to new homes…hey…I can’t just prune and toss…if it can be rooted in this greenhouse…it is!

There is not one single place that gives me as much peace and satisfaction as my greenhouse.  Here is where I can go and just be me.

Okay…it’s your turn…I am off to do some weeding, mowing, sewing, painting, or something that I need to finish doing!   Have a great week…I hope to be around to flaunt, but may be away…so you may need to party with out me!   This is the day to do it!

Until Next Time…Happy Gardening!

Using a roll of screening makes such good sense. Wonderful to see your plants inside your greenhouse. So very lush. Thank you for Flaunt Your Flowers Firday, love joining in.

Hello, hello! I've been gone far too long. I love the idea of using screen for shade cloth. Ingenious! Your greenhouse is a peaceful oasis for you, what a treasure.
