Yesterday and the day before were beautiful weather...we were sitting and enjoying the sunshine, the kids running through the sprinkler....nothing else to do...there was fire bans on so we could not have campfires....(which is the best part of camping-not having a campfire sucked)
There were even sunburns to prove it!
Maybe if we would not have gone to sleep....? This is what we woke up to this morning....and it is still coming down...6 inches by 10 AM...
Gotta love Alberta...the only place you can have the experience of all 4 seasons in one week! Oh...and if anyone is wondering...NO...I REFUSE TO SHOVEL ANYMORE SNOW THIS YEAR!
Hopefully it will melt off. I had to turn the heat on in the greenhouse in case the snow got too heavy...it has started melting off....but still....this weather makes me mad!

Incredible!! And I thought we had crazy weather in the Midwest. Well, at least you don't have the fire bans now, if that helps! ;-)
I hope your plants will be okay in the greehouse. We had frost two nights in a row and I think some people may have been too hasty in setting out plants.
xoxo

Just amazing Tootsie! We have been in he 90's for weeks now and now it will barely get out of the 60's today, yeah, I have on a sweatshirt and jeans. This type of weather you would probably be in shorts and a t-shirt....I do hope all of your hardwork will not suffer in the greenhouse!! Your big news? Are you pregnant? LOL
This is what it does here in Utah too and it gets so frustrating! Today though I actually have a nice sunny day and I'm off to wash my outside windows. We had a mud storm (rain that was more mud than anything) and everything looks so bad. I hate not being able to see out of clear clean windows! Have a great day and I hope it melts off soon. Cindy
And they say Texas has the craziest weather! Oh my goodness, had you set out your bedding plants yet? I hope you didn't lose any of your hard work!
Debbie
Woah!! Unbelievable, Tootsie! My Canadian friend Cyndi at Life on the Prairies said the same thing! Amazing! I hope all of your plants are OK! Had you set any out? It's going down to 48 tonight here in Georgia....cold for us in May! So much for global warmimg, huh??? lol Have a great week!!...Debbie
It was in the 90's here in MS for 3 weeks then boom, Sunday it went down to 50s. It is warming a little here today but suppose to be in the 40s tonight...just call it climate change..lol..Al Gore gave up on Global Warming, since it is staying colder more than warmer. Mother nature is doing her thing...
The weather is just crazy! We have been in the 90's and today we are in the 40's. Strange!
Tootsie move down here with me!!!! I have a 10 month growing season, it very rarely freezes, much less snows!!! And you could join the Garden Club :). Think of the amazing garden you could creat with a 10 month growing season!!!! It is just hard to imagine it is snowing there. I've been wearing flip flops for 3 months now
Ugh, snow! I swear, Mother Nature is a schizophrenic! You never know what you'll get. Last night here in Ohio, we had freeze warnings out because it was going to dip below 32 degrees, and yet this afternoon, it is supposed to get up to 70! Sometimes in Ohio, you get all four seasons in one day! lol I imagine it is like that in your area of Canada as well.
Still can't wait to hear what your big news is about!
Kady
Unbelievable! We're suffering with weather in triple digits and last week was chilly enough to require long pants and sweaters. I hope our weather cools down & yours warms up quickly! ♥ Diane
Tootsie, One last snow. Just think of all that nitrogen your lawn and garden are getting. We finally have a warm day. It's going to be 89 degrees. I spent the day shampooing all of our carpet. Now, all of the doors and windows are open. It is so refreshing. We can have four seasons in one week here, too! I think the frost is finally behind us. Thank-goodness. I can't wait to see your beautiful flowers.
I am glad you had a great time camping. I have actually camped in a tent in the snow. When we lived in San Diego and went deer hunting up in the mountains.
xoxoxo Terrie
Well, we don't have the snow ,but they are selling winter cloths!I think you have to look at the calander when you get up just to see what month you are in. hehehe Tootsie, when will you plant you flowers????????Kathy
Tootsie, I will not complain anymore this week about the rain.
Wow! that snow is unbeliveable.
I am sending you some sunshine today. Yes, just ask my girls they say I am the queen who invented the tube tops. I use to wear them when I was their age cutting grass. LOL.
Snow?! I think I'd cry...seriously...I think I'd cry. Wow! Here in Eastern Washington we get weird weather, but snow this morning would have sent me over the top. Good think you have a greenhouse and a heater! I love the picture of your garden on your banner...it is sooo beautiful.
Well for crying out loud....if anyone should have respect for you and your gorgeous garden it should be Mother Nature...how dare she mess with the QUEEN OF GREEN. I think she's just jealous that you're gardens are so awesome and you have such an amazing way with her plants. She's a bitter woman and wants to punish you! It's supposed to be below freezing here for the next two nights. I'm so glad I held off putting my annuals in the ground and planting my pots.
I'm sorry Toots, but this is totally hysterical. Since last week you'd been telling me you were expecting snow, but if I didn't see the pics with my own eyes I wouldn't have believed you. Hello Canada? It's MAY!!!!!!!
Justine :o )
THe weather can certainly be a challenge where you are! I am sitting with a sweater on here in Co as it is a bit nippy too!
Better than being in Arizona- a friend called today from there - it is 117 degrees!!!!!

GF, I forgot to tell your. My trees aren't big enough for a birdfeeder either. I just placed a shepherd hook close to our tree.
Hugs, Terrie
Oh crap Tootsie! It's why I live here. My friend in Ontario lost every one of her annuals to frost last night. But snow? Too much to take, right? Drats. @&*#%!
Hi Tootsie...It's great to be back from my bloggy break that almost broke us...$$$...and thanks so much for your sweet comments on my blog. Still having snow??? this is amazing & I'm sure aggravating...I hope it doesn't hurt your gorgeous yard & plants... ;-) Bo
WOW! That is amazing!!! Good grief...never saw anything like it!!!
Are you joking??? It hit 22 here today, too hot to sit in the sun...what the heck? Kinda funny though(well maybe not for you)hahhaa.....talk to you soon...hahha!!! Chrissy
I want snow! Gimme some, i'll take it off your hands for a while, at least a day!
Girl we were 100 yesterday here...I thought I was dying...sounds like a fun camping trip my friend ha ha!! May you have a great week...hugs and smiles Gl♥ria
Good grief! There ought to be a law against snow in May. I was ticked off about the frost the last two days so I guess I should be glad it wasn't snow.I am glad you have a greenhouse.
Geez I wouldn't believe it unless I saw it! That is crazy!
My mom was born and raised in Lethbridge Alberta. She moved to the U.S.A. when she was 18. She said she hates the snow. I guess I can see why(-: We rarely get snow here. That is just a real bummer. I hope all your plants were safely tucked in(-:
It was 100 degrees+ here this weekend!
Gee whiz! Poor gal!...well I can certainly see why you have doggedly determined NOT TO SHOVEL anymore!
Unbelievable! Snow in May? Oh boy, I bet you're so ready for spring!
Oh how terrible! We're all out planting our flowers, while the queen of flowers has snow on the ground. I am so sorry. I know you are sick of this. Surely this is the end of it. laurie
LOL you come here and I'll go there and slush around in your snow and you can cook in our heat! Cute post!!
~smiles~
Mona
Oh wow! Well if it's any consolation, remember I'm in the deep south and I've had sheets covering all my veggies the last 3 nights since we had a cold front come through. Not because of freezing temps, but nights were down in the low 50s and I was afraid of blossom drop since everything has blossoms so I covered everything to keep 'em warm! But snow?? That's wild!!! How frustrating! You must have a very short spring/summer season in Canada.
