Thriftin' and Junkin' with Tootsie....again.

The participants of today's meme can be viewed at A Picture is Worth a 1,000 Words...Thanks friend for hosting today!
I love thriftin' and garage sales. Here are a few of the treasures I have picked up along my travels this last couple weeks.
Well you know about these....they were in a previous post...but I got them all on the same day...
What I didn't show you was the tray that came with the tea/coffee set....it holds photos!!! Not a scratch on it anywhere...I can't wait to figure out what to do with it.
Is this not a pretty plate? It will look fantastic in my tea cup cabinet in the sun room....
does the marking on the back mean anything??? One of you guys HAS to know!!!
Look at this little cream and roses basket! It holds a candle...or even a potted plant....who knows???? I will figure out something!
And I saved the BEST for last!!!! This tea set...although not a full set...some pieces are missing...but still....LOOK at the details in those plates!
Oh and the colors are sooooo cheerful!
Only two cups...three saucers and all 4 plates....
creamer and sugar as well as the tea pot!
This is the lid of the tea pot and sugar....it's a bee!!!!
The only thing that would have made it better....would have been if it was all in that wonderful orange!
I think I might make the tea pot into a bird bath...how cute would that be!
Thanks all for visiting my second time around Tuesday!!! now head over to Diane's and check out all the other fantastic finds!
I am busily getting my house ready for fall...the kids start school today!!! I am beginning to pare down the garden and pull what is looking spent...changing out the decor inside for a warmer fall look is in the works too! There are also several posts coming to mind about the fall gardening we all need to get ready to do...so that's me in a nut shell....What are you doing this week?

I'm working on art pieces for Christmas gifts. Went to curves today, probably won't be able to get out of bed in the morning.

Wow, love the tea sets! Maybe you could use the tray as a shadow box? When I went shopping over the weekend I seen a crown charm necklace I thought you would like. Since you like to collect them. It's not real but still I thought of you when I seen it. I can see why you like them so much, it was really pretty.
Great finds & be still my heart - the precious tea set is just too cute for words! I love teapots & it has such an adorable little bee. I can hardly wait to see what you create out of it! ☺ Diane

Great finds! I just love thrifting! It was warm here today but I don't think we hit 29. It was still 25 when I was walking the dogs at 8:30pm though; and the high tomorrow is 30. Looks like your weather is moving this way. Thank goodness! Still stuck with dozens of green tomatoes - could use some more warm weather for the garden. I have been painting my parging little by little over the past week and would love to finish that up this week. Lots of projects planned for the long weekend though. Have a great week!
You always find the most unique things! Nothing real interesting here for me this week. Just blogging and the usual house stuff.

Tootise,
Great shopping and a beautiful plate. I had a tea set like that a while back, but in the move I am not sure what happened.

Have a great Tuesday.

You found some great stuff Tootsie, can't wait to see how you use it...
Hi Tootsie! You found some great things! I love the coffee set from your previous post! And the flower tea set is soooo cute! I have alo been getting rid of some tired plants and putting in a few happier ones. Now if Fall would just come...lol Happy week!...Debbie
That tea set is so unique. What fun it would be to play with. Why don't you have me and lilsista over for tea? Since there are only 2 cups, maybe you could spray paint a jelly jar orange for yourself to use? Think about it girlfriend.

I absolutely adore that tea set but I agree with you about wishing it had some orange! Peach is my favorite color but I really like orange too, especially when I decorate for fall. Kaje started school two weeks ago but I haven't noticed a difference. Now that she's a teenager and working nights she slept until about noon all summer! By the time she showered and got ready it was about the time she gets out of school now! Crazy isn't it?

Toots, you are right. I just love the last items. Such detail on those plates. You must show this for Thursday tablescapes. How beaituful and I love the bee, when it's not buzzing around me. LOL
Love you too girlfriend.

Ya done good! What a great bunch you found. Love the teaset and it is bright and cheerful like you said. Can't wait to see that birdbath you make with the teapot! I couldn't make out all of the print on your signed piece to help find out something for you. The top first word was what I had trouble with.

Tootsie, I adore all of your treasures, but the last tea set is so gorgeous, I'm in LOVE! A wonderful find to say the least.

We are having a grand opening of a Good Will Store here in small town USA. I am so excited. Our thrift stores are not very good. I am hoping for better!!!

Go to Google and type in the sign of the maker for your plate. You might find an answer. Also Ebay could be of help. Good luck.

Hugs...Jeanne

Tootsie, what amazing finds. I'm still mesmerized by the top coffee set. The last tea set is sweet with the Bee...it would be a cute bird bath as long as hornets or wasps don't make a nest in the tea pot spout. TFS!

You got me in a fit on jealousy over the tea set. As for the plate, google what it says on the back, you should be able to get some info that way. I am getting things put back from being away and tomorrow plan to do some canning. My great nephew's bd is Saturday so I am planning a monster truck cake out in my head.
Take care my friend.

Those bees on the lids are the cutest thing. A bird bath sounds like an excellent idea.

I LOVE the tea pot and the sugar and cream set. The plates are so colorful and look so cute too. I love to find second hand items for fun and useful.

You have an award on my blog.
Your dishes came at the end of the season like little late bloomers. Nice set.

Oh Tootsie. the tea set is the cutest thing. I love the garden them and such pretty colors.
Thanks for telling me the name of your Monkshood. Have to have one now ;-)
Great finds, great things -- but my favorite is that sweet little Canadian plate. I don't recognize the backstamp, but it's very pretty!

I went thrifting today and didn't find a single thing..but Satuday was not bad. Your dishes are so cute! I am concerned about getting some cloches done. I am just not good at that sort of thing...or tablescaping for that matter. I need some more practice I guess or ..stuff?
Tootsie, what fabulous finds! Flower plates to replace the dying flowers in the garden! You can still have your garden - it will just be on your table instead of outside. What a lovely tea set (both sets are so pretty). Great finds. laurie
