This is a long one...and by long I mean there is a LOT of revealing photos being shown here...and by revealing...I mean this is the post that finishes the project of painting the main parts of my home. This project took me about three days...( including both bathrooms that I shared before) and I did have a lot of fun. My main color of choice turned out to be Heart of Bronze. It is a Sico paint...and I am very impressed with the coverage...only two coats...even on the lightest walls! As sad as I was to let go of the wash treatment that I thought looked so good...there was that one spot...(you'll see) and the need for a little change...and I am in love with this new color!
The green you are going to see...is called Rattan Palm...it is a Pittsburg product. So...without further adieu...here are the before and after photos of my home!
Dining room...before
After
opposite of the table...Before.
opposite of the table...AFTER
Yep! those are some holiday embellishments! I'm getting there! lol the skate is ceramic...but it looks real doesn't it?
Remember this large heart shaped wreath above the stair well??? it saw better days...hit the trash and was replaced by a new paint job and...
I added some iron! I have a plan to add some more to this display on the wall...just have to find the right pieces!
Quick close up of the tiny front door table below iron on the wall...
This is the wall opposite the iron in the front entrance...I have always had a display on there...this is the BEFORE...
AFTER! The display got a change too!
My old extension ladder...with photos of pets and my kids...Living room Before....can you see the unfinished spot that I could not reach????? ya...lets just let that go ...bad bone of contention.
AFTERBEFORE....
AFTER!
AFTER!!! with a little holiday decor added already...
My "book shelves" in the downstairs hallway...BEFORE...
BAM! AFTER!
Family room Before....
After...all I need to do is decide how to re-hang those photos of my kids...and place the snow men where they actually won't look like junk...lol
I also did a quick re-make of the movie/book cabinet...note the light color in this...the before,
here it is After! A little dark walnut stain goes a long way! and last...but not least...
I got one of my trees up! I'ts not quite full yet...still have more to add to it...but so far...so good!
Not too bad for a weekend project...including popping my hip out while WAY up on the ladder above the stairs at the front door. The house is not quite so pretty at this moment...Christmas has exploded here...lol
See you all for Fertilizer Friday!

Great job gal. I love the colors. No wonder your hip hurts. It will get healed while you sit back and enjoy the new atmosphere. Sophisticated, I call it.

Wowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww That looks great!!!!!! You have done a lot!!!! What a great look!! I love it!!!
I love the new colours - great choices. What a transformation all around! I think the wall with the kids' photos has plenty of vertical room to it, to add them back in a staggered/alternating way, rather than the straight row.
WOW that's amazing. Great job girl, it look beautiful.
You are truely amazing, Tootsie! Amazing, I tell ya!
Your "new" house looks fantastic!!!!!
Tootsie I cannot imagine doing a project like this at Christmas!! It looks gorgeous!!
When I was decorating my dining room I was wishing that I had gotten that yucky wallpaper down and repainted but did I just dig in and do it-- unfortunately no! I could be enjoying it right now!!
I remember you blogging about that part of the wall that you couldn't get too and thinking how funny you are! I am glad to see that some projects just sit where they are at your house too!!
Girl you out did your self and now you need to rest that hip of yours and take it easy!

Oh Toots you out did yourself with all this wonderful painting....girl when you told me brown I was thinking it would look cave like but you know what it looks just beautiful...great choice of color...
Now I'm so glad you left the hugh chair up there and with the ladder it looks wonderful....but how do you dust stuff up that high....just me thinking out loud again...Glad to see you have your tree up also...I still don't have mine up...but hey I never do until after the 15 and right now I can't get to my barn...Oh girl I could just kill Len right now I aked him on Saturday to bring in my spider plant and put in the sunroom for winter well he didn't and it looks horrible from all the snow...I have it hanging in there now and hoping it and Len both don't die ha ha!!Yes we got dumped on pretty heavy for this time of year maybe by Thursday I can get out of my drive way ha ha!! my driveway is about 500 feet long alot to shovel...well girl I'm so glad to see the reveal it was well worth waiting for...I bet your kids love the warm and beautiful home that you creat for them...what a great Mama you are....Hugs and smiles Gl♥ria
Oh so pretty!!!! You are like a wherl wind getting all this done. I started picking out new flooring today. LOL Kathy
I'd like to paint the way professional painters do it: first YOU move the furniture and stuff out or into the middle of the room--and when you see the walls YOU wash them because you don't want the painters to see them in that condition. So all they do is prep and paint, roll up their tarps, get paid and go home. Now you, Tootsie, most likely moved all the furniture (even the piano) yourself, then you washed and prepped and painted, then you put everything back. No wonder your hip is troubling you. But isn't it fun!! Especially knowing YOU did it. Congrats. I'll be posting finished products and Christmas pics. soon. ♥♥♥
Wow, are you tired? you've done loads!
Everything is looking great. I like your new wall color choices too.
I just cannot get over what a difference it makes just changing a color.
As for decorating for Christmas, I've gotta get in gear, but have gotten a case of the lazies! Please send me some of that boundless energy of yours!!
Like I've said before Tootsie, come on over, I have a huge home that needs your decorating touches very badly!! You did a fantastic job no wonder you were feeling under the weather, you are exhausted! Did I see snow out of the little window above your door? Show some snow photos!
Ooh, Glenda, I can't tell you how much I love these warm colors. That bronze really made a lot of your decor POP! Love love love everything you've done and your tree is looking great. I love the natural look of it.
One thing you should change though. Get the ugly tv out of your dining room! LOL
Justine :o )
When do you sleep Tootsie??!!! Wow that color is absolutely beautiful..brings out the richness in the wood tones in your furniture..I am a color chicken..but you are inspiring me to venture out and be more bold with wall colors. Your entire home looks fantastic and beginning to look a like Christmas! Get some rest girl! Miss Bloomers/Sonia
Tootsie it's all beautiful, doesn't it make you feel good when it's all done and you're just sitting with a cup of coffee and thinking how pretty it looks and then thinking how proud you are of yourself. Oh! will you send some of that energy down here please?
Hugs,
Chris
Wow! Tootsie, the color is beautiful! ...and so rich looking! You did a great job and 3 days....I'm impressed! :) Your decor goes perfectly with the new paint job, too! As for the frames you weren't sure what to do with, you might could spray all the frames black. ...just a thought! :)
~hugs, Rhonda
What a vision you have accomplished. You really thought this one out with all your rooms in mind and how you wanted it to look. I"m in awe, this is stunning and amazing. Better take care of yourself you'll end up like me. Still home just taking it easy and not stooping or squating. I just love all these new colors that you have chosen. It is really a wow factor. Great job girl.
Do you hire out...that's a lot of work for just one weekend. More than my hip would be out if I tackled all that....even in a month!
Smart and sophisticated...I love it. BTW, is that a grey on one wall. I love the saturation of color.
Just a suggestion, but before you rehand the kids (LOL), what if you painted the frames a pop color? I love them staged like you have them right now, btw!
Debbie
Wow! You've been busy! The new color looks great, very rich! (Love the white crowns on the piano). Now pour yourself a little bubbly, kick back and enjoy! ~Cindy
You are a little bundle of energy. Not just all of that painting, but furniture moving, rearranging stuff, etc. etc. It all looks great and well worth the effort!!! Sally
Girl, cold weather is GOOD for you! I've never seen so much done in just one weekend! You must be so sore and tired, but it's beautiful.
And, thank you for reminding me about those bookshelves; I have to look them up again and try that for my new house.
Now seems to me, Tootsie, some of your commentors, said some stuff I don't get...I only know one... Deb (she is from Texas and she did good), so not to step on any toes...if I put something up high, I dust it when it pretty much starts looking like it's growing hair, I do clean it but about twice a year ...who cares?
As far as painting walls, which I have been doing from birth... I do NOT clean them, I just paint over the dirt. That's why they call it a fresh coat, right? Okay, I know what the directions say on the paint can, I ignore those.
Now here is my real comment, fabulous job Tootsie, I absolutely love the colors and your home is so gorgeous. I could paint a small bathroom in a weekend but honey, how much hot coco were you drinking, you know it's loaded with caffiene?
You are one amazing lady. Everything looks killer.
Lee
I am sorry if I said more than I shoulda. Please forgive me, okay?
High Five Tootsie! What a warm and cozy look you rooms have now. I just love the ladder and corner displays. Wow.
I LOVE the richer new colours...everything just looks so rich and welcoming! Perfect!
The bronze color you choose is so rich and warm. It will feel great during the long cold winter. I can't believe all that you painted in such a short amount of time and during the Christmas season. How about a nice trip down to New England to paint my place next! ;)
WOW! What a dramatic change. Love your new colors.
I like the kids photos just leaning on the ledge!
Hope you take a break for your hip to recover.
*hugs*deb
I am in love! Gorgeous! The color is so rich. Everything looks so sharp against it too. I am sorry you got hurt for sure but your efforts sure do show impact. I love the dark colors but always scare myself out of them.
The new color(s) set off your art and your furniture beautifully. It looks gorgeous! You did a fabulous job.
Tootsie,
You are a little wonder woman...it all looks WONDERFUL!!! I am impressed.
It's nice to see all the B/A pics.
Take a break and enjoy all your hard work.
Warmly,
Deb :)
Holy Smokes girl! You have been VERY busy. It looks AMAZING!
Simmering sweetness...
In a big ole pot...
The deep dark chocolate...
Is what she's got!
Its luscious and rich...
Like a Christmas kiss...
It wraps the room...
With seductive bliss!
Yummy, love the look!

I love everything you did. What an amazing job!
You did all this in 3 days?!!!! The Tootsie really has to visit me and help me paint! I'd rather do anything than paint but after 15 years my house needs it desperately! Gorgeous.
OMG!!!! It looks FABULOUS!!!!! You did a spectacular job! It looks like a new place! I am in total awe!!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! I love your "book" shelves...actually I love everything....wow!
