It’s Friday again already and that means it’s time to flaunt our flowers, gardens and all things green!
Now if you are not familiar with the rules of this little party…here they are;
If it is spring or summer where you live, you need to snap a few photos of what you have growing, blooming or just love to look at that is of the plant variety…if it is winter where you live, you may post past favorite photos…or indoor plants…whatever you like. The only criteria is that it is a plant or something growing!
You do not need to use fertilizer to participate in this party, but if you do, this is the reminder to fertilize weekly!
Your post must include the logo above and a link to Tootise Time, or the linky will be deleted. I don’t mean to be harsh, but there have been a lot of people linking in and when the participants graciously click over to their blogs, there is no sign of Fertilizer Friday anywhere to be found. This is not fair to those who do follow the rules, therefore…well you know!
So? what are you waiting for? Get outside, feed, water, snap and post!
Well in Alberta Canada, we have some extreme weather changes. Last week we had snow and rain and high winds. This week….we have hot and sunny and gorgeous weather!
So…I dragged everything in and out of the greenhouse for a couple of days…I thought I would harden them off.
I figured that the weather was just perfect…I left them out overnight one night too! I thought I was safe! Well, sometimes, things just don’t turn out the way we planned….
EVERYTHING GOT A SUNBURN YESTERDAY!!!
BUT…my misfortune has a silver lining!!
I get to show you what a sunburn looks like on a plant. If you look closely, you will see that the leaves are a little silver on the plants. This is a sunburn. They are NOT happy…Not at all.
I had a bit of a crisis situation on Wednesday, that distracted me enough that I did not get them covered or sheltered in time, and now the entire crop looks as though they have been lightly dusted with silver spray paint.
Not to worry…this has happened to me before. With a little bit of TLC, I should be able to salvage most of the plants. They just will need to recover and hopefully thrive in a few days…maybe a week or two.
It is a bit distressing to see that something you have put your heart and soul into was destroyed. I hope I can pull this out of my butt this time…or I will NOT be a happy camper!
On a lighter note…I tilled up all 15 of my beds…and just as I was about to admit defeat with the hydrangea plants…I got up a little closer…
…and was so excited to see that they both are coming back from the bottom! Woo Hoo!!!…I have never had luck with these here…and I felt like I had won a prize!
I am so sore that I can almost not even type after tilling and cleaning up the edges on all of the beds…not to mention pulling about five million dandelions…ugh.
Don’t they look so clean? I can hardly wait to plant…maybe tomorrow…we will see…I figure what do I have to lose? They are already 1/2 dead…if they die…they die! haha
So…that is what I have been doing…and where I have been….and where I will be for the next week or two! So…if you don’t hear from me right away…please do not be offended!
Hugs and smiles to all who offered me birthday wishes….I did not have a chance to pick up my giveaway item…so you will just have to wait till next week when I am clean enough to be out in public!

I got tired just looking at what you have to do.
Thanks for hosting FF, I always enjoy my visits here, and I enjoy posting my FF posts too.
I hope those plants make it and thrive. I'll be pissed if they don't!
And I'm amazed that your hydrangea can come back after your brutal winter.
Justine :o )
I'm sitting all the way in Texas in anticipation of your garden~ you are amazing! I linked up this week....I had to wait soooo long until I had a little something to share. :)

I wish my beds would look that clean and neat. I love seeing that fresh soil all ready to be planted in.
PS Congrats on your 2 year Blogiversary!
Good job!
We all know what too much sun can do to lots of things! I love visiting you and looking at not only your photos but those of everyone who linked to you! Happy weekend.
That lovely dirt looks like it is calling out for plants to fill it up. I love your bicycle leaned against the tree. Larry says he wants to find a bike for our yard, too.
Have a lovely weekend.
I am so excited to see your progression.
If you ever find the time stop by and say hi and join us on Friday-- Finding Beauty! YOu would fit right in!

I have been looking for a bike to put in my garden, yours is sooo great!
Sorry I missed out on this weeks FF but will be back next week.
We have friends form out of state staying with us while they relocate here. Didn't think this house could get any crazier.. But it did!
There's a little something in this post for you:

Girl, you are a really driven gardener with all the hard work you put in to your beloved patch of dirt. Kudos to you.
If yo pinch some of those sunburned leaves off your baby plants they will make new shoots, hopefully. But you probably already knew that didn't you.
BTW.......................... Happy belated birthday from your FF antipodean contingent.
You should do a post sometime on how you feed it.
Have a great week.
