Fertilizer Friday/ Flaunt Your Flowers July 2/10

Copy_of_001

It’s Friday again already and that means it’s time to flaunt our flowers, gardens and all things green!

Now if you are not familiar with the rules of this little party…here they are;

If it is spring or summer where you live, you need to snap a few photos of what you have growing, blooming or just love to look at that is of the plant variety…if it is winter where you live, you may post past favorite photos…or indoor plants…whatever you like. The only criteria is that it is a plant or something growing!

You do not need to use fertilizer to participate in this party, but if you do, this is the reminder to fertilize weekly!

Your post must include the logo above and a link to Tootise Time, or the linky will be deleted. I don’t mean to be harsh, but there have been a lot of people linking in and when the participants graciously click over to their blogs, there is no sign of Fertilizer Friday anywhere to be found. This is not fair to those who do follow the rules, therefore…well you know!

So? what are you waiting for? Get outside, feed, water, snap and post!

193

This week… I built myself a sign…I love my rotary tools…*)

194

My honeysuckle has started to bloom. She lost a few blooms in the hail storms that we have suffered the last couple of evenings. That is the price we pay for very hot weather…(I love the hot weather)

195

I moved the little tree that I rescued from the yard a few years back…it was forgotten in the back alley. It is doing well…and I am glad.

196

My vine is all of a sudden making a break for it…growing like a weed!!! Yippie!

197

my bed beside the stairs…LOVIN this!

198

I decided to seed some sweet peas this year…funny how much you find when you get rid of chick weed…hee hee…they are doing fantastic!

199

I am STILL waiting for the passion flower to open….grrr…have I mentioned that I am not a patient girl???

200

I built a new hedge around my garden room…I will be keeping it at a low level…about a foot or two…I can’t wait for it to grow….ya…patience Toots…it’s only been two days…Ha-ha

201

another view…

202

My rose is blooming!!! My rose is blooming!!

203

ya know…the one I don’t remember the name of???

207

the rock bed…rocks!

211

My front Wavy hedge…growing nicely!!!

214

They are sure taking a LONG time to grow up!!!

215

Why can’t everything just grow like the vines???? These are going like gangbusters!!! I need to get up on the ladder again and help them attach!!!

224

from the side…

225

its just growing like fire!!! I love it!!

Now…Troy has asked nicely for me to show him the loofa…

Remember the snow? Ya…well…

226

The loofa went to plant heaven…BUT Darla is sending me some seeds to try again. I actually cried when the loofa bit the dust. I tried to revive it…I even thought I got it inside before the cold got it…but it was very tender…more than I thought it was…and it didn’t make it. NEXT time…the loofa stays in the greenhouse!!! Stay Tuned…I don’t give up that easy…I will try again and I will get it right!

now…

206

I am working on another area….and I still did not get that special planter done…I will soon I hope!

I also can’t wait to show you what we did on Canada day! stay tuned…

Now…it’s your turn…I want you to flaunt your little hearts out!!! I can’t wait to see!!!

until next time…

*) *) *) to my Three ‘special’ fans!

Everything looks wonderful but the vines at your front door are just spectacular.

I am actually quite amazed at how that ivy has grown.... wow!I really like the look of the patio with (I'm assuming) grass growing between the stones. Today was my 61st birthday and we were invited to a former colleague's for dinner... they had a walk with thyme planted between the stones that was absolutely amazing... gorgeous! Have a great weekend Tootsie and see you next Friday. The gardens here in Wisconsin are approaching their most floriferous season... I absolutely love it... it's so worth the fact that it takes over my life... especially May through July!!! Larry

So sorry about the Loofa! I was looking forward to watching it grow.

You know, in just a year or two, when you have to keep trimming that hedge, you are going to regret wishing that it would grow faster. LOL

Maybe you could plant a chickweed hedge, it looks like that grows really well there. :-)

As always, thanks for hosting.

Everything in your yard always look so fantastic - love your posts! Can't believe the amount of chickweed you had to pull out. It looks like your vines are loving the hot weather as much as you are.

Tootsie, Things have really grown a lot in the past week or two. Your beds are looking great! Love how you've accessorized the rock bed. It does rock! What is the vine you are growing on the arbor? Hope this is a good week for you.
Blessings, Beth

Tootsie, your yard is perfection. I bet your neighbors are so jealous. How many hours per week do you spend out there? What kind of grass do you have?

Tootsie, that vine is wonderful going across your arbor. Everything looks so healthy and beautiful.

Oh Tootsie things look so beautiful around your place. I have cut back so much on the flowers because of the work but love the ones I have. I did not get linked up last night because the link was not up before I went to bed. I am here not. Blessings

Tootsie, your gardens are really filling in. I know how it is being impatient and wanting those few little bare spots to fill in faster, but before you know it, they'll be lush and gorgeous. I love the vines on your porch, too. I really do love vining plants.

I must admit here, I have had a problem growing loofa in the past as well. If you get yours to grow... please share with us what you did right... because I do it all wrong.

Hope you have a wonderful Friday and a happy 4th!

Susan

Thanks for teasing the crap out of us at the end of the post. Grrrrr.

Now, what kind of vine is that that you've got growing all over the place? Does it flower? That's probably a stupid question to ask YOU, right? Heeheehee

What kind of plant did you put in the new hedge area of the garden room?

Don't you ever SIT DOWN and RELAX???

Justine :o )
