WELCOME!!!!
Friday is a BIG day for us here at Tootsie Time…(ok, just me…there is no one else here…lol) It’s a big deal because it means it’s PARTY TIME!!!!
Fertilizer Friday is the day of the week than an ELITE group of gardeners from all around the world get together , snap photos, link up and Flaunt Their Flowers!!!
If you are new to Tootsie Time and Fertilizer Friday, I just know you are asking yourself…”How do I join?” Well…it’s easy really. Here’s all you need to know to become a part of this great group of gardeners, bloggers and friends:
If it is spring or summer where you live, you need to snap a few photos of what you have growing, blooming or just love to look at that is of the plant variety…if it is winter where you live, you may post past favorite photos…or indoor plants…whatever you like. The only criteria is that it is a plant or something growing!
You do not need to use fertilizer to participate in this party, but if you do, this is the reminder to fertilize weekly!
All I ask is that: Your post must include the logo above and/or a link to Tootise Time, or the link will be deleted. I don’t mean to be harsh, but there have been a lot of people linking in and when the participants graciously click over to their blogs, there is no sign of Fertilizer Friday anywhere to be found. This is not fair to those who do follow the rules, therefore…well you know!
It has been a week of fairly nice weather…didn’t see a lot of hail…just some rain in the evenings…I love night rains…that leaves time to be outside in the daylight. However…I have been incredibly busy in spite of the lack of children being around…(and I thought that I would be able to relax while they were away!!! hahaha!) I was going to share the look inside the greenhouse earlier in the week...but lost track of my days....and it's already time to flaunt...so that will have to wait!
Since I am going to be away this evening for a bit, I thought I'd post the party a couple of hours early....I hope you will all link in and participate!!! I am so happy to say that I managed to get around to every one of the players for the last three weeks!!!! Here's hoping that I can keep up this winning streak!
What’s blooming here??? Lets take a look!
My proven winner trials are loving the warm sunny location by the greenhouse….filling in very nicely!!
I just love the new colors!!
The straw flowers are just blooming their hearts out…I can’t wait to see how many I can save…might have to make some shadow boxes…lol
I was worried that the Clematis had died over the winter…it is only 1/2 the size it was last year at this time…Took forever to poke out of the ground…but yay me!!!…it’s blooming!
I have a little bloomin’ action goin’ on in the Datura department…I can’t wait!!! I just wish they’d have grown a bit taller than they did…the Wave Petunias are swallowing them up…
…can you find the Datura in this pot? It’s almost like Where’s Waldo!!! ha-ha-ha
Mini Snap Dragons, Portulaca and some Marigolds…made a nice little pot…LOTS of color!
To end my flaunt I am sharing the pre-view of the Rudbeckia! There are buds popping out all over…I can’t wait to share the open blooms…they are so pretty!
That’s it…that’s all…nothing else to share this day…so now it is your turn…get busy…water –snap - and post! Go! Now!!! I’m Waiting!!!!
Hugs smiles and wishes for a safe and happy weekend to you all….Special thanks to all those who popped over and commented to me this week and to those who also took the time to link up and flaunt with me! I appreciate each visit and love to see what you have to share!
I am also considering changing the name of this little shin dig…any suggestions are welcome!!!
Until next time…Happy Gardening!
*)*)*) to my very special three…here’s your thought for the week: Too many of us are worried about our outside appearance. What we really need to be worried about is our inside appearance. You know who you are!!!

Hi Tootsie, Love your little pot with the mini snaps, portulaca and marigolds - it is just stunning! Your clematis and strawflowers are great too! We are getting a brief shower right now and I am grateful. Hope we get an inch or two. Thanks for hosting FF; and by the way, I think the name is okay but if you'd like to change it, I'm still with you. I just love your party, Tootsie!
Blessings, Beth
Your Garden flowers are as beautiful as ever but my favorite are the "Straw Flowers"... very nice!
Sandy
Hi Tootsie, your flowers are looking wonderful! My Rudbekia is at about the same stage as yours and I'm hoping the sun coming out tomorrow (after 3 gray, wet days!) will make them open up. Have a great weekend.
Pamela
Wow Tootsie, they are all in very bright vivid colors! They look so pampered and healthy, you are a real master gardener. I still don't have something to link here, wonder if i still can catch up!
Hi Glenda, everything looking great, especially that gorgeous clematis. I have one that I just planted last year....growing beautifully, but no blooms this year.

(Snapping, writing, and posting!)
Great photos! The strawflowers especially caught my eye. Everyone says they are easy to grow. I have had not luck with them... Any tips?
Don't you just love straw flowers. they are so different. Your garden is gorgeous as always. we have had such heat it's been difficult this year but a nice rainy day has made such a difference this week. have a great weekend!
We've both got Strawflowers blooming at the moment. I just love them. I spotted the Datura and it looks like it's going to be a fabulous colour. Nice to see your Clematis rise from the dead too.
I have got to grow strawflowers someday. I always end up buying them somewhere after they have been dried and arranged. I can do that! :) Your rudbeckia's are so close! Mine just popped this week, I didn't realize how much I had longed to see them! Cheers, Jenni
Wow...Im soooo jealous of your gorgeous garden blooms!
Your bloomers look so fresh and amazing, not fried like mine! Simply divine!
Have a great weekend!
*hugs*deb
Love them all-especially the Proven Winners trials.
I had the same "short" problem with some of my perennials and the nurseries I spoke with said it was a result of "flip-flopping" temps this spring. The plants would start to grow, then cold would set in and the plants would stall. I don't know, but have you ever seen a 6" tall white Coneflower blooming it's fool head off? Funny!
It's nice to see so much color! It's really vibrant and summery.
Your containers look great. I must try strawflowers again, so unique looking.
Summertime in your garden is so beautiful!
Oh how beautiful everything is.
I do not usually leave
comments all the time,
but I read all of your posts and
you have such a lovely garden.
I can just imagine how beautiful
it is in person. Thanks so much for your notes on my sites. I would love it if we could ever visit in person one day!
God bless....Brooke
Wow, those petunias are gorgeous. You have such beautiful color going on. I like those straw flowers. I'm going to have to try those. We're having our typical drought now, and things are wilting and turning brown. It's so nice to see your color. Thanks for hosting!

Glenda, Your garden always looks so bright and wonderfully colorful!
Tootsie!! You have the most gorgeous vibrant blooms. =) Beautiful.
Love ya oodles, Jessica
Suggested jumping off point for name change - Flora Flaunt Friday.
I noted you were Gardener of the Month in March - honestly, why aren't you that EVERY month? Canada has really tough judges. Your Quinton "judge" gives your garden a 10 each month.

Just being in your yard would cheer any body up!
Sharp and happy colors! Happy Friday :)
Glenda, you never fail to amaze me, all the beautiful flowers, three children, all the work you do and you still have time to let us all flaunt our flowers!
Your gardens are gorgeous, those Proven Winners are really proving themselves in your garden. Gorgeous.
I love Fertilizer Friday (and it will be just as wonderful by any other name, too, just like a rose!)
Okay, I am going to have to come see your garden some day. Hubby loved the photos of your garden too. Thanks for sharing your beautiful flowers with us.
Your flowers are beautiful as always. I love the Strawflowers and forget to get seed every year to try them. I want to go swimming with the kids though in that pool on these hot days. They sure are enjoying the water.
The pots are looking lovely Tootsie. I'm sure the rudbekia will be out soon.
Your flowers are looking lovely...we hear you are having lots of rain, unlike us
Everything's looking very pretty, Glenda!
Jeanni
Have I told you I enjoy your comments on my blog when you visit back? And I look forward to your flaunts every Friday?
Rosie
I am too late to link in this week, sorry. Where has the time gone? Anyway, I do have a Fertilizer Friday post, "A Garden Stroll at Dawn". I hope you will come by http://shirley-agardenerslife.blogspot.com for a peek.
Your garden, Glenda, is just wowing me with all the colour! Perfect summer blooms!
Glenda, thanks for offering to link me in. Great idea just in case my week gets away on me again. I'm shampooing carpets, cleaning and stuff...... Anyway, if I get a chance I'll link up again but who knows here! I do love Fertilizer Friday/Flaunt Your Flowers!! Thanks~
By the way, how's your garden looking now that you've had a chance to clean up from the storm?
