Fertilizer Friday/ Flaunt Your Flowers Jan. 18/12

Copy_of_001
PSSSST!   Hey YOU!  Do you know what day it is???   It’s Friday !!!!    Wow this week sure flew by!
Friday is a BIG day for us here at Tootsie Time…(ok, just me…there is no one else here…lol) It’s a big deal because it means it’s PARTY TIME!!!!
Fertilizer Friday is the day of the week than an ELITE group of gardeners from all around the world get together, snap photos, link up and Flaunt Their Flowers!!!

If you are new to Tootsie Time and Fertilizer Friday, I just know you are asking yourself…”How do I join?”
Well…it’s easy really. Here’s all you need to know to become a part of this great group of gardeners, bloggers and friends:
If it is spring or summer where you live, you need to snap a few photos of what you have growing, blooming or just love to look at that is of the plant variety…if it is winter where you live, you may post past favorite photos…or indoor plants…whatever you like. The only criteria is that it is a plant or something growing! You do not need to use fertilizer to participate in this party, but if you do, this is the reminder to fertilize weekly! All I ask is that: Your post must include the logo above and/or a link to Tootsie Time, or the linky will be deleted. So....I would like to invite each and every one of you to join in and share your photos...

Today's flaunt is starting a little early today because I have to be elsewhere at the usual post time...so we get to flaunt for a few extra hours this week!

Well guys, it’s been a week…and I don’t have a lot to share…I went from being sick with a cold/flu to having a slight case of pneumonia…so I haven’t been all that energetic…I never even played in the greenhouse at all this week…I went in, watered my plants and left.  That’s it…that’s all.
HOWEVER….
I do have a bloom or two to share this week!!!!
Check it out!

005

MY ORCHIDS ARE BLOOMING!!!

001

Oh how beautiful these blooms are!

002

Looking very closely at them makes you think that you might be looking into the mouth of a snake!  See the two “fangs” and the “throat” in there?

004

So Delicate…so lovely.

006

Only two of the buds on that one plant have opened so far…I am waiting with baited breath for these ones to make their debut!

013

…but for the time being I will enjoy the blooms I have…

015

…look who else is getting ready to bloom?   Looks like this Tootsie’s greenhouse is getting it’s spring on…even if the weather outside is saying something else!

Well kids…that is all for me for this week…now it is your turn…What are you waiting for???

Get flaunting!

I wish all of you hugs and smiles, and safe and happy weekend plans!

Thank you all so much for dropping in today, and to those that faithfully link in to this party…and who are patient while waiting for me to FINALLY visit you…it seems there are not enough hours in a day anymore...THANK YOU!

Until Next Time... Happy Gardening!

That's a lovely phal! Mine are starting to bloom but many don't look their best... I expect I'll get rid of a number of them as they really need a glass house to be at their very best... oh well... on to other pursuits! Larry

Sorry to hear you haven't been feeling well. Those lovely blooms would cheer you up though when you wander into your greenhouse. The Orchid is stunning.

Glenda, Hope you are feeling better now. I enjoy linking in to FF every week. Now, every Fridays, I remember to do my fertilizing. Now I am on a blog break due to the current Chinese New Year season. I would like to join your meme via My Nice Garden Chat group - it is a gardening forum for people from all over the world. Is it okay with you? You can delete this message after reading. I have sent you a private message in Facebook but still no response from you yet. Hope you can reply to that when you are feeling better. Lastly, have a great weekend!

Beautiful. I've been thinking for quite some time that I need to try an orchid. I have a gift card from a friend. Maybe I should use it on an orchid. Hmmm. I'll post if I do.
