Fertilizer Friday/ Flaunt Your Flowers Nov. 8/ 13

Welcome!

Friday is a BIG day for us here at Tootsie Time…(ok, just me…there is no one else here…lol)  It’s a big deal because it means it’s PARTY TIME!!!!

Fertilizer Friday is the day of the week than an ELITE group of gardeners from all around the world get together, snap photos, link up and Flaunt Their Flowers!!!

If you are new to Tootsie Time and Fertilizer Friday, I just know you are asking yourself…”How do I join?”

Well…it’s easy really. Here’s all you need to know to become a part of this great group of gardeners, bloggers and friends:

If it is spring or summer where you live, you need to snap a few photos of what you have growing, blooming or just love to look at that is of the plant variety…if it is winter where you live, you may post past favorite photos…or indoor plants…whatever you like.

The only criteria is that it is a plant or something growing!

You do not need to use fertilizer to participate in this party, but if you do, this is the reminder to fertilize weekly!

All I ask is that: Your post must include the logo above and/or a link to Tootsie Time, or the linky will be deleted

I would like to invite each and every one of you to join in and share your photos...

Just a few short hours after I posted the party for last week’s flaunt, -- you know, the one where I was so super happy that we hadn’t even had one flake of snow fall in our area yet –  it happened.    Ya…it started to rain a little bit, and then the sun went down…and the flakes began…and it snowed…and snowed… and snowed!  ugh…I should have just kept my mouth SHUT!

We got almost a full foot of snow in our yard that night.   It was not a good thing that it started out as rain…that made for a mess of ice under all the snow…and that is never a good thing.
So…I thought I would share the first snowfall with you all today…and the gardener’s version of a snow angel.
BeFunky_020.jpg To some…this is pretty…to me…it’s just depressing!   It is cold, dreary and gets dark VERY early.  It means no playing out in the garden for a long time!

I am so glad to have a greenhouse that I can go to when I need a little dirt therapy!

On days when it is warm enough to go outside and enjoy a little fresh air, it is always fun to make…

…a few snow flowers to get us by until the real thing can get growing outside again!

They are just done with one foot!  lol

Well….that’s it for me for today…

SO?   What are you waiting for???

GO!!!

Get your flaunt on!!!

You can link as many posts as you like…I don’t mind seeing lots!!!

Thank you all so much for all the wonderful comments  this week... and WELCOME to all my new followers…and to those that loyally follow me and faithfully link in to this party…AND who are patient while waiting for me to FINALLY visit you…

THANK YOU!

I appreciate you more than you know.

Stay tuned Sunday/Monday for the next installment of “The 108 Year Old House” There is a LOT to share!   If you missed some…you can find the links to chapter 1, 2,3,4, 5 and a post about a piece of furniture I made just for the place… by clicking on their numbers!

Until Next Time... Happy Gardening!

Sorry you are having winter weather already. I do like your snow flower though!

Yup, winter white. I lived in Williams Lake for years and winter lasted forever. Square tires. Darn cold. Now it is freezing rain, ice, some snow and a lot more heavy rain. Sometimes lots of snow. Good thing you have your greenhouse. The early dark is tough but come Dec 21st things start to lighten up (I keep telling myself that). Thanks for hosting.

Oh dear, sorry to hear you've had snow already. I love the snow flower, however, and to me that snow scene does look beautiful. But of course I would say that coming from a place that never sees snow.
