Fertilizer Friday/ Flaunt Your Flowers 8/7/09

Welcome to Fertilizer Friday!!! Today we feed and Flaunt our Flowers and plants! Grab your feeder and give your flowers, and houseplants a kick in the roots!
Grab my photo above, link back to this post, and add yourself to the mister linky at the bottom of this post. Flaunt your flowers with some of the most talented gardeners I have met! I can't wait to see what you guys share this week!
It has been raining all week here, so there is not a lot of WOW in my garden this week. Here's what I have...
The header bed....
That "garbage" pot....looks wonderful and smells fabulous! boy does my grass need a mow or what?
I love the way the snap dragons color out!
This Clematis was a write off....looks like she heard me say she was getting the yank if she didn't bloom!!!
On the tree house...
Mandevilla refusing to bloom...but the petunias are doing okay...
The lavatera is almost ready to bloom....and another clematis that is getting her act together...
wild flowers...
such a tiny black bloom on them....
front side bed exploded this week in the cool weather...
Volunteer Malva....I have been trying to talk Grammie and Grampie to throw some of these seeds around in the beds at the farm....so? what do you think????
Ivy is blooming and making a mess on my front door mat! lol
And Justin thought this was dead....he underestimated the power of Tootsie's will....
Tea Pot bird bath in the Nicotana....for Darla to see....(please pretend you can't see me in that mirror!!!)
More Snaps!!!
they don't get much sunnier than this yellow do they?
And that's all I have!!! well not all....but you know what I mean! lol
Now...it is your turn to share some garden WOW with us!! Link up and take the garden tours! Don't forget to add yourself to the linky....so everyone can pop in to see your flaunting!!

I really want to do some of the flowers I remember as a child. Snap Dragons, Sweet Peas, HollyHock.. And I just bought the perfect 'garden gate' to plant a Clemitis to next year. Your gardens are beautiful even when your life is in turmoil .. go figure. Thanks for sharing... I get such inspiration.

Oh your snapdragons look marvelous! I need to do a mass planting like yours next year - it's so pretty! And that malva is beautiful - perhaps she could volunteer in my yard too? ;-) Thanks for hosting. Hope your week has settled down some. I'll try and link in later.

The mistake I make is buying a little of this and a little of that; and not a large bunch that makes a statment like your flowers do.
I guess it would be cheaper for me to sow my flowers seeds and then I could afford to have them in bunches. They all look stunning.

Tootsie--It's all fabulous, but the two tiered pot is my absolute favorite. Is there a "before" picture of the pot a list of what's in it anywhere in your posts? You and your gardens amaze me!

Beautiful!! I especially love the purple malva with red geraniums. I may 'borrow' that idea for next year. The snaps are fab.

I'm always just amazed by your flowers. Is it not very hot where you live? Snapdragons are spring only flowers here.

You have all my favorites growing...snapdragons, malva, pink sprirea, did I say snapdragons. They really are one of my favorites. If they make it thru the summer, they will overwinter and bloom again in late winter and into the spring here in hell, I mean Texas! All of my favorites are spring bloomers, so needless to say to see yours blooming now makes me pea green with envy! Sigh!!! I really don't know how you manage it all.

Sorry, I can't join the party. I have nothing growing in my yard besides grass! The deer have even stripped the lowest brances of a lot of the trees!
Anyway, your garden is unbelievaby beautiful.
Thanks for visiting and you must post your magnet board if you make one!

HI Tootsie! OH, I love seeing your gorgeous blooms! Everything is so pretty! We can only grown snapdragons over the winter and then when the heat hit, they die! I just love that flower! Have you taught your children to hold the bloom and make the snapdragon talk? :)
Have a wonderful weekend, Dear One,
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

I am so in love with your garden. It's what I aspire mine to be in a year or two (or three or four...) We have gotten so much rain and everything is saturated, but I have lots of nice mushrooms popping up everywhere! Seriously, the flowers and plants I do have are doing well, just haven't taken any photos to share this week. But thank you for sharing yours! Karen

Hey, Tootsie-Girl! Well, today in the big, big brush, I've got glorious Morning Glories, more Petunias, black Sweet Potato Vine, Mandavilla and Black Eyed Susan (6'+) ... they're really responding to the Miracle Grow!
Have a great week! Stacey

Your flowers are gorgeous! They have really taken off! WOW!
Still nothing looking to good here. I have a few blooms but mostly things are fried. The weather has cooled off the last few days so I am going to get out and try to do some deadheading, back permitting(-: Happy FF have a great weekend!!!!

I love your tea set and the leaves on that Malva are huge. What is the flower Justin thought was dead - it's very pretty. Everything looks fabulous as usual! I could be so lucky. All is burned here.

Your garden is just AMAZING Tootsie! I can't believe the growth explosion. Are you mixing your own fertilizer or using a pre mix? Do you fertilize every time you water? It's quite a stunning show of color...

Your plants really fill in so fast! I love all the Snapdragons you have, I can never get them to look so full. Your grass really is so green, ours is dry and brown because it still hasn't rained here since May.
What kind of lavatera do you have? I have a picture of mine today, it's been taking it's sweet time this year.

Holy smokes Tootsie it all looks so wonderful. It's blossoms on crack. As Darla said, our Florida flowers are languishing in the heat and humidity. You should just be so proud. Have you been featured in your local paper? You should be. Thank you so much for your kind words. I just love you and your sister. You are so busy and yet you take the time to lighten my heart. Next week I hope have some big old blooms to show you. I will speak lovingly to them all week in the hope that they will produce.
