Let the Season Begin!

Top O the Mornin’ to ya!  I hope all had a fantastic weekend!!!

I had a weekend that was so busy that I still have not had time to get over and visit all the Fertilizer Friday participants…I hope to get to that soon…I miss the time I used to take out for blogging.

Want to see what it was that was keeping me so busy?  (and too dirty to blog?)

007

Yes I did!!!!  I planted!!!  I planted all weekend long…I had soil in places no soil should see…and after I smiled so nice and shook hands with the new people moving in next door, I went in the house, only to realize that there was a LOT of mud stuck to one of my earrings…and dirt ALL over my face.  (must have had an itch)  No wonder they were smiling so nice at me!  haha…they were trying not to burst into hysterics!

Here’s a sneak Peek…of my header bed.006

I moved some of the garden art around a little bit…the tea pot bird bath is in the header bed now.005

I still need to put some pots out by the ladder…but that will wait for a different post- haha.

003

Oh…and a new addition was put into the “room” that I built last season…a little fire engine red spray paint…a few lobelia and a broken old BBQ make for a little whimsy!  I sure hope it blooms up all pretty for us!

Stay tuned…I will be sharing 15 beds on Fertilizer Friday!  Please join me for this party…I really do enjoy visiting, getting inspiration for new beds…and seeing what you have to share!

Holy crap, my eyes bugged out of my head when I saw that grill painted bright red. I mean, who but you would even think that could be garden art and then MAKE IT WORK???

I'm floored!

When I saw your flower beds, WOW came out of my mouth all by itself. I adore flowers and your yard looks great. I can't tell you how many times I've gone to the door, or gate or whatever with dirt all over my face and never knew it until hours later. Oh, well. I guess it's beter than the green stuff you see in the movies.

Oh my goodness - you did it. That is the best feeling isn't it. It looks so good. It looks like it is going to be even fuller and better than last year. Love the yard art. You need to come visit me and help me out. I am the most indecisive person.

Love your bb-que grill! I have to add that to my garage sale list! Thanks for sharing it! Paula in IDaho
I am totally blown away by your talent with the soil. What a green thumb you have there and design layout. Then the creative mind to take an old grill and turn it into a planter. What a gift!

Your gardens are beautiful. I love the pictures. I have recently started a "plOTTing and planting" feature to capture all my gardening and landscaping adventures. Hopefully I'll remember to stop back by for Fert. and Flaunt Friday. Happy Gardening!!!

Wow Tootsie, you have been busy! Respect! It all looks fantastic - and don't worry about the mucky face ....we've all done it at one time or another (or lots of times in my case!)

Just gorgeous, Tootsie. The bbq pit is too cute. You've work so hard, and it really shows. I got new neighbors, too. But, boohoo, the lady is crazier than a loon and mean as a snake. I'm looking forward to more of your posts.

How cute is that red grill? Your gardens already look great. I wish I could stop by your garage sale and pick up a few of your baskets. Your weather sounds like ours. One day beautiful, freezing the next and though I am afraid to say it out loud, we are in for a bit of warm weather at last.
Tootsie,
Larry is not in his office now. I am filling it with my laughter at the thought of you meeting your new neighbors with dirt on your face and hands. I love it!

You truly are gifted in the way you arrange your beds and garden art.

I love your gardens, Tootsie. I use to live in the country and had 2 and a half acres of land and lots of gardens and trees. When I got married I had to move to the suburbs. I haven't been adjusting as well as I would like to, and mostly it is due to having such a small yard and little space for gardens.

After seeing these photos, I'm totally inspired with what I could possibly do here.

Thank you soooo much for sharing!

Blessings,
Susan
