Fertilizer Friday/ Flaunt Your Flowers!

Well, another week has passed...and another Friday is upon us. It has been a week of celebration, special meals and fun. Canada Day, July 4th, the whole kit'n'kabootle! (did I spell that right?)
Since we have all enjoyed a treat or two this week, why not the plants? Grab your garden hose, (or watering can) and your fertilizer of choice....and get out there and feed those plants! House plants too...can't forget them!
Once you have watered...grab that camera, take some shots and link up to this post using the Mister Linky at the bottom of the page to FLAUNT YOUR FLOWERS!!!! Don't forget to take the FF photo!!!
Here is my offering for this week!
I finally (after 10 years) got a patio set!!! I still need to tweak the arrangement a little, but for now, it looks good!
My Tiger Lily in the back yard is in full force!
So is the Trumpet vine....the humming birds love this plant.
My front yard is filling in....

The Pansy's are smiling up a storm!
My beds are finally starting to come around too!
I love how bright these are today!
I was worried that if I pulled all the weeds...there would be nothing left! But lucky for me, I was wrong!
I added the hangers to the front of the steps....they are supposed to be door knockers, but if you turn them upside down, they hold a pot!
My bench...Oh how I love this bench. And Last but not least....a bright orange Osteospermum!
Thanks for joining me today to take a walk in my garden....I do hope you will take this invitation to link in and share your garden with us!

I adore tiger lilies! Your flowers are lovely as your home! I love your bench, but I love love your patio! No, he not going to make it this year! Too much going on with the house and life. Your patio set is great! Mine got crushed by some Oak trees! No, I am here, I had a week of feeling wonderful, and got tons done! Then four grandchildren are here daily for 12 hours, they leave and I hit the bath and bed. No time to visit. I go to Doc on Tuesday, to see if I am ready for surgery. He's not going to be happy for I am so exhausted. I hoping surgery can wait a few months, I so want to get more done in the house. But my daughter has a sitter lined up for August. Too far! lol I love being with them, but Too much of a good thing! lol Off to bed!

What's the secret with trumpet vine? Believe it or not, we can't get the thing to bloom. Sally

Wow!!! What a bloomin' sight! Just gorgeous! Love your patio set! I also love that patio!!!! I bet it will be a welcome place this summer! Your flowers are really poppin' today!
Not much happening here. Its been 108 on down to 102 today all week! So things are pretty much in shock! The succulents love the heat! I guess I will have to snap a few pictures of what is left blooming tomorrow after my fertilizing extravaganza! I have been working on cleaning up beds from all the debris/dead heading etc. HFF!!!(-:

Your flowers are looking great! Can't wait to see things in about a month - they're already spectacular, so I can't imagine what August will bring. I love the patio set too - lucky girl! I am curious about the flagstone patio, which I know you made yourself. I've made some concrete flagstones by a different method and I find that they are quite slippery in the winter (as compared to say, the sidewalk). Do you have any problems with yours? My goal was to do a flagstone area too, but I am concerned about my dogs slipping on it once it gets really cold. My method involves pouring the cement into a plastic mold (like a bowl shape) and then once it hardens, tipping it out, so that the top of the flagstone is what was at the bottom of the mold. I believe you did yours with a different type of mold, so that when you poured your cement, what was at the top of the mold became the top of the flagstones. Is that right? Maybe that's the problem with mine?

Anyhow, thanks for sharing your gorgeous gardens with us :-)

Tootsie, everything is so gorgeous. Love your new patio set - would you believe the other day the wind lifted my umbrella up and the pole came down right through the fabric and tore it all up. A new umbrella for me!!!
Did you really make the bench yourself? Bird houses too? Fantastic. You are just too much!

Unknown said...

OOops no the pole didn't come down - the umbrella came down and the pole went through it. Said that all wrong. Now I have to go outside while it is still cool and will have to come in and visit gardens when it's too hot and I can't be outside.

Everything about your yard is just enchanting! I'm even in love with your grass - oh how soft and lush it looks. I'd lie in it all day. Hubby doesn't consider grass worth the money to water, so ours is dry and brown. Yuck! Happy FF to you!

Your home is worthy of a magazine cover AND article. Just gorgeous!
I wish so much I could join in but my flowers are not ready to be shown this year. I am brand new here and it takes time and a lot of work to get it in shape. I'm working on it though! :)
Thank you so much for sharing your home with us! I am in AW!
Hugs,
Mona

Just passing by, I love your yard all of it. Everything is so dry here in North Georgia that my knockout roses leaves are all falling off. I am so thinking of just cutting them way back & starting over! I sure wished I had your green thumb!

Happy 4th....God bless, Linda

Tootsie!! I am sorry I could not participate in FF this week,
Friday was a busy busy day for me!! At the office they decided to work on Satuday (today) to take care of some outstanding matters, I suggested that we work late of Fri (yesterday), because I NEED my weekend!

Now on to your patio!! It is BEYOND beautiful, really!!! I RMS made just a stitch of sense I would suggest putting it on, but RMS is a mess!

Anyway, I am blown away at the beauty of your yard, I mean every square inch is perfection!! wow!!

It has been 'eeons' since I last visited as some how I lost the 'bookmark' of your Blog.

I have been browsing many of your postings playing catchup and it appears Summer is in full swing.

Your Garden is absolutely marvelous Glenda! A real Garden of Eden in all its splendor.

Wishing you and your family a wonderful and safe Summer.
Hugs -Brenda-

P.S: It is more like Spring weather here, as we've had so much rain with cool temps. I suppose it is perfect for a Garden but not too great for the long awaited outdoor activities of Summer. Sigh!
I am definitely living in the wrong hemisphere. :)

YES! Another brilliant FF post! Toots, I cannot believe you thought to take door knockers and turn them upside-down to hold planters! Frickin' brilliant! I love the square pots you have going up the steps too. And wow, your patio area (and the new table!) looks great! How did you get the grass, or whatever that is, to grow between the stones?

Justine :o )

Love, love, love all of your garden! It's a real inspiration for me! It's been two years in our home and we have a big yard that's just begging for just a few of the beauties you have. I had been focusing on my vegetable garden in the early spring and a few things are doing well despite neglect (in other words, weeds, weeds and more weeds). It was worth it 'cause I got to have my precious 2 year old granddaughter for seven weeks, but now that she's back with Mommy and Daddy, I am watching my flowers and herb garden really take off and I'm still getting taters and maters so it's working out just fine. I think I will try a mounded flower bed like in your pics-beautiful! Thanks for your post! Karen

What an inspiration your gardens are! Makes me want to spend every spare moment in the yard... oh yeah, I already do that lol. I usually have a container garden on the deck, but this year MM (my Maintenance Man or hubby lol) wasn't in the groove for that much watering lol. Love, love, love your gardens.

It's all so pretty! It's so hot here now that nothing is blooming any more. I need to go water now - it's going to be 100ish today.

I love the patio and your furniture. I was sad to see the green grass being covered, but then noticed you have plenty in the front yard.

Your flowers are gorgeous!

Thanks for stopping over yesterday.
