Fertilizer Friday/ Flaunt Your Flowers Oct 29/10

Copy_of_001

Okay Kids…! It’s Friday AGAIN. Friday is a BIG day for us here at Tootsie Time…(ok, just me…there is no one else here…lol) It’s a big deal because it means it’s PARTY TIME!!!! Fertilizer Friday is athe day of the week than an ELITE group of gardeners from all around the world get together , snap photos, link up and Flaunt Their Flowers!!!

If you are new to Tootsie Time and Fertilizer Friday, I just know you are asking yourself…”How do I join?” Well…it’s easy really. Here’s all you need to know to become a part of this great group of gardeners, bloggers and friends:

If it is spring or summer where you live, you need to snap a few photos of what you have growing, blooming or just love to look at that is of the plant variety…if it is winter where you live, you may post past favorite photos…or indoor plants…whatever you like. The only criteria is that it is a plant or something growing!

You do not need to use fertilizer to participate in this party, but if you do, this is the reminder to fertilize weekly!

All I ask is that: Your post must include the logo above and a link to Tootise Time, or the linky will be deleted. I don’t mean to be harsh, but there have been a lot of people linking in and when the participants graciously click over to their blogs, there is no sign of Fertilizer Friday anywhere to be found. This is not fair to those who do follow the rules, therefore…well you know!

So? what are you waiting for? Get outside, feed, water, snap and post!

This has been another busy week at my house. Hockey practice, skate sharpening, work, school field trips, appointments, household chores and family obligations have given this old gal a run for her money. It seems that just when I think I am at the end of my “to do” list, something else jumps in to cramp my ‘clock’ (so to speak) To top my cake this week, I managed to somehow wake up on Tuesday morning COMPLETELY SILENT! Yes- I lost my voice. All I could do all week long was whisper and squeak. My little gang thought it was absolutely hilarious! By Wednesday afternoon, I developed a huge headache from straining to be loud enough to be heard…and the head ache won’t go away! Needless to say, it has been interesting!

BUT-

Enough about me…we are here today to flaunt some of the most gorgeous flowers and gardens…and that is just what we are going to do! Lets get flaunting!

My offering for today (due to cold temps and snow on the ground) includes scenes from the past. Re-runs if you will:

2006. This little teensy greenhouse, stands where my new big baby is now. The morning glory on the greenhouse walls covered almost the whole thing before the summer was over. This is my header bed!

Hoping to see you all this coming week…so until next time…hugs and smiles…and warm wishes to all for a safe and happy weekend…Happy Halloween!!!

Oh…don’t want to forget my fabulous three!!! *) *) *)…and to the most special of them all…I’m excited that you didn’t let us down. Things are going just as they were planned..and you helped SO much! Thank you! *) MWUAH!

See you all next time!

pretty soon you'll be able to go to Holes "Enjoy Center" to get your garden fix in the winter. Have you heard when they plan to open their mega garden center in Edmonton?

I can't wait to see it finished!

Hi Tootsie: I envy the greenhouse instead of lights in the basement. I enjoyed the look back.

Your greenhouse is just fantastic. Like your very own garden center in the backyard! Very dreamy my dear! Beautiful blooms as always. We had a hard frost last night. Going to try to finish planting bulbs this week and then pack it up for the year. I have some pics saved for next weeks FF and I think that might be it for me. But like you.... I may do a few re-runs!

Oh, gosh, Tootsie, hope you feel better real soon! You really do need three of you to get all the things done you described. You work so hard, I hope you get some time to just relax a little bit soon.

Your past flower gardens are so beautiful, and those tall plants were lavateras? Wow, what did you feed them? Amazing! Your greenhouse is just what I need; we have a hoophouse we put up in March and take down in June, but it's just plastic, not nicely constructed like yours. I love annuals for all their bright colors and the ability to change the way the garden looks from year to year. You are so very skilled at designing awe-inspiring displays. Hope you feel better soon, Karen

Tootsie, Your flowers are always beautiful!! You could be an add for a fertilizer. Would like to see what your garden or even a spot of it looks like in real time. Or what you did in it this week - or not!! Thanks for hosting.
