Knots Prayer

Dear God:

Please untie the knots

that are in my mind,

my heart and my life.

Remove the have nots,

The can nots and the do nots

That I have in my mind.

Erase the will nots,

May nots,

Might nots, that may find

A home in my heart.

Release me from the could nots,

Would nots and

Should nots that obstruct my life.

And most of all

Dear God,

I ask that you remove from my mind,

My heart and my life all of the 'am nots'

That I have allowed to hold me back,

Especially the thought that I am not good enough

Amen

WHO ME??? REALLY??? FEATURED??? I AM HONORED BEYOND WORDS!

Those of you who know me know I am just a regular girl. I am a single mom of three kids, hockey mom, gardener, decorator...just a regular everyday person. I am just a girl with some seeds to sow, a greenhouse to grow and a love of all things with leaves.

BUT NOT FOR THE MONTH OF FEBRUARY!!!!

Today I learned that I have been chosen as gardener of the month over at Costa Farms! The entire month of February is mine! woo hoo!

When I heard the news I actually got tears in my eyes! This is such a great big deal!!! This company is huge and they do so much for the community and share so much with gardeners!

I rushed right over there and saw the wonderful little write up they did about me, and the photos of my first greenhouse, and favorite photo of pots that I grew one season!

You can see it if you click the Costa Farms TMFG logo below:

A Little Life Rule to Remember

An old man, a boy & a donkey were going to town.

The boy rode on the donkey & the old man walked.

As they went along they passed some people

who remarked it was a shame the old man

was walking and the boy was riding..

The man and boy thought maybe the critics were right,

so they changed positions.

Then, later, they passed some people who remarked,

'What a shame, he makes that little boy walk.'

So they then decided they'd both walk!

Soon they passed some more people who thought

they were stupid to walk when they had a

decent donkey to ride.

So, they both rode the donkey.

Now they passed some people

who shamed them by saying how awful to

put such a load on a poor donkey.

The boy and man figured they were probably right,

so they decide to carry the donkey.

As they crossed the bridge,

they lost their grip on the animal

and he fell into the river and drowned.

The moral of the story?

If you try to please everyone,

you might as well...

Kiss your ass goodbye!

Have A Nice Day And Be Careful With Your Donkey

Introducing….Iris! Weed or flower…You be the judge.

Once a year the world stops to remember the one person responsible for bringing us all into this world. Our MOM’S.
Once a year we stop to thank her for the hard work, the laundry, the cookies, the clean house, the meals…and for pretty much everything else that happens around the house.
Once a year we take a day to remember who it is that taught us a lot of what we know…and showed us limitless unconditional love.
I would like to introduce to you my mother. I wish I had a decent photo of my her to share with you today…but sadly she is as insufferable as my dad and always has to make some sort of face at the camera…so here’s the best I could come up with.
!cid_8B14B483-7498-4301-A11F-51C47BB2311B
Hahaha!!! I bet my Dad is rolling on the floor right now…hahaha!
IMGP0393
Anyways…this is my mom. Her name is IRIS! She is one determined little lady. She stands no more than 5 feet in height, but LOOK OUT when she sets her mind to something…(or gets mad) She has (with lots of help from my dad) grown a small shoe store into a thriving business well known for many miles around.
2008-04-27-2036-09
She upholsters, sews, decorates and manages my dad so gracefully that she makes it look easy! (and lets say Dad…is not easy) haha…(and yes…I get my silliness from him)
2008-04-27-2057-49
There are those that say I look a lot like my mother and behave very much like my Dad…I suppose that this might be a little true…My mom…well.. She’s a lady. She likes high heels and lipstick. She wears purses and shoes to match. (I like jeans, sneakers, and I carry a tool set in my purse) I am not sure…but it might be that the last dress that I wore was at my wedding…(and look at the awful bad luck that gave me! haha)
2008-04-27-2038-39
My mom is a very creative person. She can wallpaper and decorate with ease. She can take an ugly piece of furniture, and in a few short hours it is a fantastic showpiece. She is as stubborn as they come, and is a strong and successful business woman, and talented pianist.
2008-04-27-2054-10
I thought I’d share some examples of her talent and creativity with you guys today.
IMGP0380
My Dad went junkin one day, and found this setee…It was slated for the garbage! It is gorgeous now. (and is soon to be mine)
001
Look how pretty her living room is! Everything in there was sewn or upholstered by my mom!006
This piano is where my sister and I used to sit to take our lessons. It is a family heirloom…is over 100 years old and one day I will polish it with as much love as she does.
age3
This beautiful child is me! Yep! I am wearing a dress that my mom made for me…and I suppose I do look a little like her…(this photo was included to prove that she is talented enough to create a masterpiece!) haha
My Mom has taught me a lot in my life. I have inherited many of the qualities that she posesses…and I am glad that I did. Thank you Mom for the years of patience…impatience and for all that you did and have given to me over the years.
“Before I was a Mom,
I never tripped over toys
or forgot words to a lullaby.
I didn't worry whether or not
my plants were poisonous.
I never thought about immunizations
Before I was a Mom,
I had never been puked on.
Pooped on.
Chewed on.
Peed on.
I had complete control of my mind
and my thoughts.
I slept all night.
Before I was a Mom,
I never held down a screaming child
so doctors could do tests.
Or give shots.
I never looked into teary eyes and cried.
I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin.
I never sat up late hours at night
watching a baby sleep.
Before I was a Mom,
I never held a sleeping baby just because
I didn't want to put her down.
I never felt my heart break into a million pieces
when I couldn't stop the hurt.
I never knew that something so small
could affect my life so much.
I never knew that I could love someone so much.
I never knew I would love being a Mom.
Before I was a Mom,
I didn't know the feeling of
having my heart outside my body..
I didn't know how special it could feel
to feed a hungry baby.
I didn't know that bond
between a mother and her child.
I didn't know that something so small
could make me feel so important and happy.
Before I was a Mom,
I had never gotten up in the middle of the night
every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay.
I had never known the warmth,
the joy,
the love,
the heartache,
the wonderment
or the satisfaction of being a Mom.
I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much,
before I was a Mom”
Happy Mothers Day to you Mom I suppose that in answer to the question in the title…we’d have to say you are not a weed…but a beautiful (yet short) flower. Love you Grammie B!
…and to all the other Moms out there Happy Mothers Day!

Life....Advice

Life is too short to wake up with regrets. So love the people who treat you right. Forget about the one's who don't. Believe everything happens for a reason. If you get a second chance, grab it with both hands. If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said life would be easy, they just promised it would be worth it.

Stress…

When this came to my attention, it really hit home. I am sharing today as I know it will touch some of you as well.

Stress
A lecturer, when explaining stress management to an audience,
Raised a glass of water and asked;
'How heavy is this glass of water?'
Answers called out ranged from 20g to 500g.
The lecturer replied, 'The absolute weight doesn't matter.
It depends on how long you try to hold it.
If I hold it for a minute, that's not a problem.
If I hold it for an hour, I'll have an ache in my right arm.
If I hold it for a day, you'll have to call an ambulance.
In each case, it's the same weight, but the longer I hold it, the heavier it becomes.'
He continued,
'And that's the way it is with stress management.
If we carry our burdens all the time, sooner or later,
As the burden becomes increasingly heavy,
We won't be able to carry on. '
'As with the glass of water,
You have to put it down for a while and rest before holding it again.
When we're refreshed, we can carry on with the burden.'
'So, before you return home tonight, put the burden of work down. Don't carry it home. You can pick it up tomorrow.
Whatever burdens you're carrying now,
Let them down for a moment if you can.'
So, my friend, Put down anything that may be a burden to you right now. Don't pick it up again until after you've rested a while.
Here are some great ways of dealing with the burdens of life:

* Accept that some days you're the pigeon,
And some days you're the statue.
* Always keep your words soft and sweet,
Just in case you have to eat them.
* Always wear stuff that will make you look good
If you die in the middle of it.
* Drive carefully. It's not only cars that can be
"recalled" by their maker.
* If you can't be kind, at least have the decency to be vague.
* If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again,
It was probably worth it.
* It may be that your sole purpose in life is simply to be kind to others.
* Never put both feet in your mouth at the same time,
Because then you won't have a leg to stand on.
* Nobody cares if you can't dance well.
Just get up and dance.
* When everything's coming your way,
You're in the wrong lane.
* Birthdays are good for you.
The more you have, the longer you live.

* You may be only one person in the world,
But you may also be the world to one person.
* Some mistakes are too much fun to only make once.
* We could learn a lot from crayons...Some are sharp, some are pretty and some are dull. Some have weird names, and all are different colours, but they all have to live in the same box.
*A truly happy person is one who can enjoy the scenery on a detour.
Have an awesome day and know that someone has thought about you today..

Think

The following story touched my heart. As someone who has recently lived through a difficult situation, it hit directly home. I thought I'd share it and a couple of thoughts with you today. Sometimes a reminder of the things that really matter is a good thing to have. I know some who should read this and take it directly to heart.

There was a blind girl who hated herself because she was blind. She
Hated everyone, except her loving boyfriend. He was always
There for her. She told her boyfriend, 'If I could only see
The world, I will marry you.'

One day,
Someone donated a pair of eyes to her. When the bandages
Came off, she was able to see everything, including her
Boyfriend.

He asked
Her,'Now that you can see the world, will you marry me?' The Girl looked at her boyfriend and saw that he was blind. The Sight of his closed eyelids shocked her. She hadn't expected That. The thought of looking at them the rest of her life Led her to refuse to marry him.

Her
Boyfriend left in tears and days later wrote a note to her
Saying: 'Take good care of your eyes, my dear, for before
They were yours, they were mine.'

This is
How the human brain often works when our status changes.
Only a very few remember what life was like before, and who
Was always by their side in the most painful situations.

Others, will purposefully set out to add to the pain of someone who's life is in turmoil.

Still others, who are unable to behave in such a way as to display the dignity of knowing right from wrong. They have a misguided sense of entitlement.

I have known a couple of people like this in my life.

So Sad. Shameful really.

Life is a gift. Appreciate the ones who stand beside you in hard times...and take inspiration from those who show loyalty and compassion to those who suffer difficult times. Surround yourself with people who live life with integrity. Live Long, Laugh Often, Love Much.

Not Much-

I may not be the most important person in your LIFE.
I just hope that when you hear my name you smile and say
THAT'S MY FRIEND!
Not much time to blog this week....or much to even blog about...this time of year is so boring. Almost ready to pull some Christmas out of the garage...but wanted to finish organizing my house first...I am looking forward to being around for Fertilizer Friday to see what you all have to share when we flaunt our flowers!

Think About It

Hey all. I hope you had a wonderful weekend. It was Thanksgiving here in Canada over the last weekend. For those of you in this country...I hope you all enjoyed family and friends over a grand meal. I hope that some of you took the time to reflect on what you have, HAD and will have in your lives...and found a way to be grateful for what life has given you, and what you have created.
I would like to share an email that came across my inbox the other day. It arrived at a time when I really am at a loss for what to share with you all...so I thought that I'd share this.

This should probably be taped to your bathroom mirror where one could read every day.
You may not realize it, but it's 100% true..
1. There are at least two people in this world that you would die for.
2. At least 15 people in this world love you in some way.
3. The only reason anyone would ever hate you is because they want to be just like you.
4. A smile from you can bring happiness to anyone, even if they don't like you.
5. Every night, SOMEONE thinks about you before they go to sleep.
6. You mean the world to someone.
7. You are special and unique.
8. Someone that you don't even know exists loves you.
9. When you make the biggest mistake ever, something good comes from it.
10. When you think the world has turned its back on you, take another look.
11. Always remember the compliments you received. Forget about the rude remarks

I recently posted to my Etsy shop. I had not until last week posted a link to my blog...if you would like to view it, it is in the side bar. I also decided that I am not a huge fan of the etsy community, so I also created a new blog called Enchanting Transformations. I have a few of the garden crowns that I have made on there so far, and plan to one day soon add some other little this's and that's to it.

My Promise To My Peeps

None of that "Sissy" Stuff
Are you tired of those
sissy 'friendship' poems
that always sound good,
but never actually come close
to reality?
Well, here is a series of promises that actually speak of
'TRUE' Friendship.
You WON'T see any
cutesy, little, smiley faces....
Just the stone, cold truth
of our great friendship.

1. When you are SAD,
I will jump on the person
who made you sad,
like a spider monkey
jacked up on Mountain Dew!!!

2. When you are BLUE,
I will try to dislodge
whatever is choking you.

3. When you SMILE,
I will know you are
plotting something
that I must be involved in.

4. When you're SCARED,
we will high tail it out of here.

5. When you are WORRIED,
I will tell you 'horrible' stories about how much worse
it could be, until you
quit whining, ya "BIG BABY" !!!!

6. When you are CONFUSED,
I will use little words.

7. When you are SICK,
STAY away from me,
until you are well again.
I don't want, whatever you have...

8. When you FALL,
I will pick you up
and dust you off--
After I laugh my rear off!!

9. This is my OATH...
I pledge it to the end.
'Why?' you may ask;
-- because you are my FRIEND!
***********************
Friendship is like peeing your pants,
everyone can see it,
but only YOU
can feel the
true warmth.

Happy Father's Day...to the World's Greatest Junkin' Dad

There is this guy I know. I have known him all my life. He has made me mad, made me sad, and made me smile. He has a heart of gold and has taught me many things. I call this guy my Dad. Around Mother's Day...there are a million sappy emails and sentiments that go around...but Father's Day doesn't seem to have any of this mushy stuff...so I was forced to write my own...It took me a long time...lots of deleting, and tweaking...but here is what I came up with.
Now...my Dad is not your ordinary guy. He is a very talented (and honest) auto mechanic. When you take your vehicle to my Dad to have repaired...he doesn't just mend the problem...he fixes it. There are some who have been touched by my Dad's repairs ...those who are not wealthy would take him their car, and ask him to just make it work....but my dad would not only fix the necessities...he'd take the time to make sure it was all working.. (and not charge for the extras) His reputation as a mechanical genius has spread all the way from the small town where he lives..to where I live.
I have inherited many things from my dad.
- The most obvious...his name. My Dad is named Glen....and I am (in real life) Glenda. gee...wonder WHO named me?
-His crazy sense of humor (my poor mom is often embarrassed by his silliness) He LOVES a good joke...and likes to play jokes on us if he can.
-His green thumb (he loves to have a beautiful yard) one day I will show you photos of how pretty their farm site is...it is like a park. My mom and dad have spent years cleaning up piles of junk (and keeping some) and making an abandoned homestead a HOME.
-His soft heart- he'd give the shirt off his back for a good friend and can be easily injured by an unkind gesture.
-I love using tools....I have to have gotten this from my dad...he has LOTS...and my mom...she's too "girlie" for power tools...lol
-My pride. I hate to ask for help...will struggle through the job...and be proud as punch that I made it myself instead of buying it or letting someone else do it for me.
-His organization and perfectionism....I always know where things are...even in the hugest mess...or what appears to be a mess. When I do something, it has to be done the "right" way...and finished completely...perfectly...just like he does....he is very detail oriented.
-His stubbornness....we won't go there except to say that when he decides to do ...he does
-His love of junkin! (or should I call this an addiction?) This guy was junkin LONG before it was "cool". Some of my fondest memories of hanging out with my dad were when I was a little girl and we would go to the city dump and find "treasures" (and my mom would sometimes not be so happy with either of us) (that's me when I was 3)
This junkin was also one of those things that a "cool" "vane" teenage Tootsie was not so proud of when she was in high school. NOW...well that's a different story.
My sister and I both like to go to the farm and "shop" in my Dad's "superstore" (garage). Some of the great stuff he finds and just stores....well it is like heaven to a junkin diva!!! And some of the things he has made out of his finds over the years....well...I could go on and on...he is very creative.
I tried and tried to get a photo of my Dad...and all I ended up being able to get was "a photo of the back of his legs! He was worried that the next top model people might stalk him or something! (ha ha..posted it anyways!!! ) Oh and those feet in the photo? they are dancin feet! I don't think those feet missed one song at my wedding or graduation! (maybe they were celebrating that I was out of his hair? NO...couldn't be that!-ha ha!)So girls...just play along here...picture in your mind..."Dr. House" Hugh Laurie. (only without the cane, drug addiction and mean spirit) lol That man reminds me of my Dad. When we watch that show, I always think of him. Now he doesn't look EXACTLY the same...My dad has a little less hair...a couple more laugh lines and he shaves most of the time...lol...but boy does this man remind me-and a lot of other people- of him! (right now...he's probably looking at my mom...with a grin that says "boy are you a lucky woman" lolI don't look much like my dad-I look like mom...but I certainly do act like him. I am not afraid to get dirty...and I like a good joke...I am not the most patient girl in the world, I am rarely late....and I LOVE MY JUNK! LOL (oh and did I mention that I like to "miff" my mom sometimes????) lol
Those blue eyes were like magic for my sister and me...he could move us across a room...by just giving us the "eye". Mostly they were smiling eyes...but when he had to give us the "eye"...it was the evil eye...a silent warning...of things to come if we didn't smarten up NOW.
I love it when my Dad will tell stories about some of the rotten or crazy things he did when he was a kid...and I always think to myself..."wonder what the punishment would have been if I DID THOSE THINGS!!!" I also wonder why he waited until I was long moved away from home to tell me these things...lol hmm....
Anyways...I just wanted to mention my great dad on Father's day. He deserved a post reserved just for him...after all...he did have to put up with Lilsista...(I was a perfect child) and all.. hee hee
Thanks dad...for helping me become the person I am today. For teaching me that doing things right the first time is the best way...for the OCD, the Green thumb, the love of building things, your name, junkin and jokin! I hope you had a great day...and be assured...I will prove to these ladies that I am not kidding when I say you look like "House"!
Ya never know when your oldest goofball will jump out of the bushes...and snap a photo of you (like the paparzzi)!
Love ya Dad!
love Leenie

Garden Sayings

There are so many different types of gardens, and they are all unique to the gardener that created each of them. Just as the inside of our homes is a reflection of our personality, so it is in our gardens.
In my gardens you will see several different signs that I crafted from old barn board. Each one says something different.
Over the years, I have collected several other sayings and have kept them in a file for that special gift or project. I thought that today I would share a few of them with you. Perhaps one will touch your heart and you can make a piece of garden art to put it on....if you do...I will expect to see a post about it!
Enjoy!

"A beautiful garden is a work of heart"

"Gardens are not made by sitting in the shade"

"Grow where you're planted"

"Kind hearts are the garden,

kind thoughts are the root, kind words are the blossoms,
kind deeds are the fruit."

"My husband said if I buy any more perennials he would leave me
- - -gosh I'm going to miss that man!"

"Plant smiles; grow giggles; harvest love"

"The seed is hope; the flower is joy"

"You can bury a lot of troubles, digging in the dirt "

"Weed it and Reap "

"Weeds for sale - pick your own "

"Grow where you're planted"

"Herbs add spice to your life."

"God blesses the hands that work in a garden."

"Despite the gardener's best intentions, nature will improvise"

"The grass may look greener on the other side but it still has to be mowed! "

"God's in charge of flowers and seeds and I'm in charge of all the weeds."

"A Weed is but an unloved Flower"

"Beware of Snap Dragons"

"Don't grumble that roses have thorns
...be thankful that thorns have roses!"

"Don't hurry, don't worry.
You're only here for a short visit.
So be sure to stop and smell the flowers"

"Earth laughs in flowers"

"Flowers are the sweetest thing God ever made,
and forgot to put a soul into"

"Friends are like flowers in the garden of life"

"Garden of weedin'"

"WEEDS"

"CAUTION!!! Grandparents at play"

"Welcome"

"CAUTION: Garden may contain weeds"

"Welcome to my garden , now get WEEDIN'"

"What weeds?"

"The Amen in a Garden is Always a Flower"

(I found some of these at:
Homesteadgarden.com)

A Piece of Cake

This is about the best thing I've ever read as an explanation.
We all wonder many many many times over WHY? (I know I have been asking this a lot lately)

Sometimes we wonder, "What did I do to deserve this?" or "Why did God have to do this to me?"
Here is a wonderful explanation!
A daughter is telling her Mother how everything is going wrong, she ' s failing algebra, her boyfriend broke up with her and her best friend is moving away.
Meanwhile, her Mother is baking a cake and asks her daughter if she would like a snack, and the daughter says, "Absolutely Mom, I love your cake."
"Here, have some cooking oil," her Mother offers.
"Yuck" says her daughter.
"How about a couple raw eggs?"
"Gross, Mom!"
"Would you like some flour then? Or maybe baking soda?"
"Mom, those are all yucky!"
To which the mother replies: "Yes, all those things seem bad all by themselves. But when they are put together in the right way, they make a wonderfully delicious cake! "

God works the same way. Many times we wonder why He would let us go through such bad and difficult times.
But God knows that when He puts these things all in His order, they always work for good! We just have to trust Him and, eventually, they will all make something wonderful!
God is crazy about you.
He sends you flowers every spring and a sunrise every morning.
Whenever you want to talk, He ' ll listen.
He can live anywhere in the universe, and He chose your heart.

Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we are here we might as well dance.

$20.00

A well-known speaker started off his seminar by:
holding up a $20.00 bill.
In the room of 200, he asked, "Who would like this $20 bill?"
Hands started going up.
He said, "I am going to give this $20 to one of you but first, let me do this.
He proceeded to crumple up the $20 dollar bill. He then asked, "Who still wants it?" Still the hands were up in the air.
Well, he replied, "What if I do this?"
And he dropped it on the ground and started to grind it into the floor with his shoe.
He picked it up, now crumpled and dirty. "
Now, who still wants it?"
Still the hands went into the air.
My friends, we have all learned a very valuable lesson.
No matter what I did to the money, you still wanted it because it did not decrease in value.
It was still worth $20.

Many times in our lives, we are dropped, crumpled, and ground into the dirt by the decisions we make and the circumstances that come our way.
We feel as though we are worthless.
But no matter what has happened or what will happen, you will never lose your value.
Dirty or clean, crumpled or finely creased, you are still priceless to those who DO LOVE you.
The worth of our lives comes not in what we do or who we know, but by WHO WE ARE and WHOSE WE ARE.
You are special -
Don't EVER forget it."
If you do not pass this on, you may never know the lives it touches, the hurting hearts it speaks to, or the hope that it can bring.
Count your blessings, not your problems. "
And remember: amateurs built the ark .. professionals built the Titanic.
If God brings you to it - He will bring you through it.

I post this to those who have proven themselves as true. I will be away for a bit longer. I hope no one was concerned. What a busy time this has been, and once and a while something has to be slack to make up for the rest. Unfortunately, my blog is the slack for now. I will be back full strength soon...so be ready. In the mean time...if you have questions...leave them...I already proved I will answer them! lol

...but have you heard of the traditional birthday flower guide?

If not....today is your lucky day!

February~~Violet

March~~Jonquil

April~~Sweet Pea or Daisy

May~~Lily of the Valley

June~~Rose

July~~Larkspur

August~~Gladiolus

September~~Aster

October~~Calendula

I hope you enjoyed seeing which one you are! (at least no one is a Dandelion)

What is YOUR birthday flower? Mine is May (lily of the valley) Not my favorite flower…but it’s pretty!

I hope you all will join me for the weekly garden flaunting party! The party starts Thursday evening and closes on Sunday night. It is so much fun to see what others around the world are flaunting each week!

The Buzzard, The Bat and the Bumblebee...

I received this post in an email from a friend today.
She thought of my struggles.
I in turn thought of several of my blogging friends who too are struggling...

THE BUZZARD
If you put a buzzard in a pen that is 6 feet by 8 feet and is
entirely open at the top, the bird, in spite of its ability to fly, will be
an absolute prisoner. The reason is that a buzzard always begins a flight
from the ground with a run of 10 to 12 feet. Without space to run, as is
its habit, it will not even attempt to fly, but will remain a prisoner for
life in a small jail with no top.

THE BAT:
The ordinary bat that flies around at night, a remarkable nimble
Creature in the air, cannot take off from a level place. If it is placed on
the floor or flat ground, all it can do is shuffle about helplessly and, no
doubt, painfully, until it reaches some slight elevation from which it can
throw itself into the air. Then, at once, it takes off like flash!

THE BUMBLEBEE:
A bumblebee, if dropped into an open tumbler, will be there until it
dies, unless it is taken out. It never sees the means of escape at the top,
but persists in trying to find some way out through the sides near the
bottom. It will seek a way where none exists, until it completely destroys
itself.

PEOPLE:
In many ways, we are like the buzzard, the bat, and the bumblebee.
We struggle about with all our problems and frustrations, never realizing
that all we have to do is look up!

Sorrow looks back, Worry looks around, But faith looks up!
Live simply, love generously, care deeply, speak kindly and trust.

If my blogging friends need to look up...I will be here just as you all have been for me. Reading your comments this last couple of weeks has left me speechless. The support you all show me is just so profound...I can't thank you enough.
now ...
shall we?

The New Motto For 2009!!!!!

The New Motto for 2009!!
Someone will always be prettier.
Someone will always be smarter.
Some of their houses will be bigger.
Some will drive a better car.
Their children will do better in school.
And their husband will fix more things around the house.
So let it go, and love you and your circumstances
Think about it!
The prettiest woman in the world can have hell in her heart.
The most highly favored woman on your job may be unable to have children.
The richest woman you know, she's got the car, the house, the clothes~ might be lonely.
And the word says, 'If I have not Love, I am nothing.'
So, again, love you.
Love who you are.
Look in the mirror in the morning and smile and say, 'I am too Blessed to be Stressed and too Anointed, to be Disappointed!'
'Winners make things happen~~ Losers let things happen.'

Bloggers Prayer

TO: God.com

Dear Lord,
Every single evening As I'm lying here in bed,
This tiny little Prayer
Keeps running through my head:

God bless all my family
Wherever they may be,
Keep them warm and safe from harm
For they're so close to me.

And God, there is one more thing
I wish that you could do;
Hope you don't mind me asking,
Please bless my computer too.

Now I know that it's unusual
To Bless a motherboard,
But listen just a second
While I explain it to you, Lord.

You see, that little metal box
Holds more than odds and ends;
Inside those small compartments
Rest so many of my friends.

I know so much about them
By the kindness that they give,
And this little scrap of metal
Takes me in to where they live.

By faith is how I know them
Much the same as you.
We share in what life brings us
And from that our friendships grew.

Please take an extra minute
From your duties up above,
To bless those in my address book
That's filled with so much love.

Wherever else this prayer may reach
To each and every friend,
Bless each e-mail inbox
And each person who hits 'send'.

When you update your Heavenly list
On your own Great CD-ROM,
Bless everyone who says this prayer
Sent up to GOD.com

Amen

I am feeling a little under the weather...and thought this was a good time to post this prayer...if you would like to take it...please do so with my blessing! I have it posted in the sidebar of my awards blog...stay safe and healthy...see you soon

Bet Ya Didn't Know This!!!!

since I was still feeling a little on the icky side ...this is what I have to say today...tomorrow...there is a very important post coming your way...but for today...just some fun and Crazy Facts:

If you yelled for 8 years, 7 months and 6 days you would have produced enough sound energy to heat one cup of coffee. (Hardly seems worth it.) -I know someone who has heated a pot!

If you farted consistently for 6 years and 9 months, enough gas is produced to create the energy of an atomic bomb. (Now that's more like it!) - JUSTINE!!!! DID YOU HEAR THAT???

The human heart creates enough pressure when it pumps out to the body to squirt blood 30 feet. -okay...that's just gross

A cockroach will live nine days without its head before it starves to death. (Creepy.) (I'm still not over the pig.) --I saw my first one in florida...I tried to kill it...and it lost a leg...my "husband" caught it and threw it over the railing of the hotel balcony....and my son was yelling "here little guy...you left your leg behind!" then he had to shower! ick!

Banging your head against a wall uses 150 calories a hour --if you are desperate for calorie burning...this ones for you! I wonder how many calories you use if you bang someone else's head...(hey...just thinking out loud...)

The male praying mantis cannot copulate while its head is attached to its body. The female initiates sex by ripping the male's head off. --now she is one smart woman....the men don't use their heads anyways....ever! (yea, I'm a little bitter...)

The flea can jump 350 times its body length. It's like a human jumping the length of a football field. --good to know?

The catfish has over 27,000 taste buds. -why is this important?

Some lions mate over 50 times a day. -busy Lions eh? no wonder every time you see them on T.V. they are yawning!

Butterflies taste with their feet.

The strongest muscle in the body is the tongue.(Hmmmmmm.....)

Right-handed people live, on average, nine years longer than left-handed people. (If you're ambidextrous, do you split the difference?) ---Ha Ha....I will live longer than HIM!!!! lol

Elephants are the only animals that cannot jump. (Okay, so that would be a good thing)

A cat's urine glows under a black light. (I wonder who was paid to figure that out?)

An ostrich's eye is bigger than its brain. (I know some people like that.)

Starfish have no brains (I know some people like that too.)

Polar bears are left-handed. -why is this important?

Humans and dolphins are the only species that have sex for pleasure. ( why do we know this?)

I Believe...

Birth Certificate shows that we were born
A Death Certificate shows that we died
Pictures show that we lived!
Have a seat . . . Relax . . . And read this slowly.

I Believe...
That just because two people argue,
it doesn't mean they don't love each other.

And just because they don't argue,
it doesn't mean they do love each other.

I Believe...
That we don't have to change friends if
we understand that friends change.

I Believe...
That no matter how good a friend is,
they're going to hurt you every once in a while and you must forgive them for that.

I Believe...
That true friendship continues to grow,
even over the longest distance.
Same goes for true love.

I Believe...
That you can do something in an instant
that will give you heartache for life.

I Believe...
That it's taking me a long time
to become the person I want to be.

I Believe...
That you should always leave loved ones with loving words.
It may be the last time you see them.

I Believe...
That you can keep going long after you think you can't.

I Believe...
That we are responsible for what we do,
no matter how we feel.

I Believe...
That either you control your attitude
or it controls you.

I Believe...
That heroes are the people who do what has to be done
when it needs to be done,
regardless of the consequences.

I Believe...
That money is a lousy way of keeping score.

I Believe..
That my best friend and I can do anything or nothing
and have the best time.

I Believe...
That sometimes the people you expect to kick you when you're down,
will be the ones to help you get back up.

I Believe...
That sometimes when I'm angry I have the right to be angry,
but that doesn't give me the right to be cruel.

I Believe...
That maturity has more to do with what types of experiences you've had
and what you've learned from them and less to do with how many birthdays you've celebrated.

I Believe...
That it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others.
sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.

I Believe...
That no matter how bad your heart is broken
the world doesn't stop for your grief.

I Believe...
That our background and circumstances may have influenced who we are,
but, we are responsible for who we become.

I Believe...
That you shouldn't be so eager to find out a secret.
It could change your life Forever.

I Believe...
Two people can look at the exact same thing
and see something totally different.

I Believe...
That your life can be changed in a matter of hours by people who don't even know you.

I Believe...
That even when you think you have no more to give,
when a friend cries out to you - you will find the strength to help.

I Believe...
That credentials on the wall do not make you a decent human being.

I Believe...
That the people you care about most in life are taken from you too soon.

I Believe...
That the happiest people don't necessarily have the best of everything;
they just make the most of everything.'
